Sandy has been a Psychotherapist for over 25 years specializing in dealing with Incest, Rape, Sexual Abuse, & Trauma. A large part of the populations she has focused on pertain to Substance Abuse, especially those related to Trauma the client experienced.

Sandy’s undergraduate degree is a BS in Psychology from the University of Delaware. Her graduate degree is an MSW from Delaware State University. Sandy has had internships at Delaware Child Protective Services Sexual Abuse Unit, the Attorney General’s Rape Unit, and Delaware Guidance Services.

She is certified in EMDR and is the author of the following books: “No Ordinary Life: Parenting the Sexually Abused Child & Adolescent”, “Recovering from Sexual Abuse, Addictions, and Compulsive Behavior: Numb Survivors”, “Every 10th Starfish”, and her soon to be completed “How to Love an Addict”.

Sandy is the Co-Owner & Founder of Middletown Counseling Services. Maggie is her faithful companion.
